Mission Statement
Significantly make a difference in quantitatively and qualitatively addressing the problems of Special Need Education (SEN) and learning disabilities in the Cameroonian educational system.

General Objective
The main objectives of the association is to enable the A.E.F contribute effectively in the design, execution, monitoring and evaluation of S.E.N. policies in Cameroon.

Specific Objectives

  • To seek for ways and means of enabling members to gain access into instances where decisions concerning children with special educational needs are articulated in order to influence them.

  • To devise strategies to promote the implementation of special educational needs policies.

  • To promote special educational needs dialogue between the Ministry of Social Affairs and those of education, and private local, public as well as international institutions;

  • To carry out activities to assist in the development of children with special educational needs within the entire country;

  • To make education accessible to all in order to develop the capacity of each child; and

  • To promote the true nature of the human being and to promote the use of instructional methods and material suitable for the provision of a holistic education to children in school setting; and to work in collaboration with parents at home, community leaders and educational institutions to create enabling environments for the child development as early as possible.
